"Not expecting to win and winning" is one of Kym Clark's memories of becoming Miss University of Georgia in 1981.
Kym, of WMC-TV Channel 5 fame, shared the spotlight once again with 19 other pageant title holders at the St. Jude Beauty Queen Classic Luncheon and Fashion Show Saturday at Woodland Hills. It was hosted by Epsilon Sigma Alpha International.
Also in the show were Allison Bloodworth, Camille Casey, Pam Davis, Shelley Deaux, Jean Drumwright, Sarah Menees Everett, Lucy Hale, Suzanne Jackson, Nicole Jordan, Lauren Lowrey, Valerie Morris, Carrie Norwood, Ashley Serio, Jenny Sherrill, Ashley Smith, Lee Carruthers Sturdivant, Jeni Stephens Thompson, Kara Lee Waddell and Melinda Winchester.
Ashley Garrett, a patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, led the procession of beauty queens.
The escorts were Jeff Fioranelli, Matt Schneider, Scott Wood, Mark Wood, Jay Werne and Ricky Harris.
Joe Birch, who attended with his wife, Robyn, and niece, Chloe Davis, was master of ceremonies.
Babbie Lovett was the fashion show commentator. "Remember, a tiara is magnificent with sportswear," she told the audience.
